#Sweets - Mung bean hopia turned candy

When we bought at Mercury Drug Store a pack of hopia I said to myself, I will make that yummy and tasty hopia at home. This weekend I thought of having that recipe. I already prepared the filling but the dough is not good. Unfortunately, it's raw and I can't do anything about it. I tried to cook it several times but still the taste is not so very good. Disappointed of what it turned out, I just thought it might be good to make the filling as a candy..tsktsktsk.. I think the reason for the dough failure is that I used a pure cornstarch and not an all purpose cream =(

My dDy said it tasted like maja blanca flavored monggo, my sister said it was like a yema candy flavored monggo and I myself thought it was like an ice drop with the red monggo on top..haha...One recipe with several taste.. It's a compliment I guess.. :)

Anyways, the ingredients needed for the hopia filling are:
- flour
- evaporated milk
- condensed milk
- brown sugar
- vanilla
- salt
- monggo (mung bean)

I just bring to boil the mung beans until it's soft and mashed it. I combined all the ingredients including the mung beans and put it in a medium pan. Cooked it for about 10 to 15 mins until it become sticky. Because I'm not making a hopia anymore, I pull out my cute chocolate molder and put into it the filling. And then refrigerated these cute candy sweets. It tasted so good for those who appreciate it hahaha....
the filling turned out to be a sweet candy treat
Next time I'll make a perfect hopia for my dDy and hope he likes it.. : )

Happy weekend everyone!!!
